Duties and responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement structured training programs to enhance players’ physical fitness, endurance, teamwork, and technical pulling skills.
- Identify, recruit, and select suitable team members based on merit, strength, discipline, and teamwork capability.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards during training and competitions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of training attendance, performance assessments, and competition outcomes.
- Coordinate with the County Department of Sports and relevant stakeholders on team participation and resource allocation.
Requirements for appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Secondary school certificate
- Post-secondary education in Physical education, Sports science or a related field.
- Certificate from Kenya Tug of War Federation (KTWF) or a recognized sports body
- At least two (2) years of experience as a tug of war player, Assistant coach or coach.
- First Aid training
