Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the organization\'s IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, data protection, and technology operations.
- The ideal candidate must have strong experience working in a regulated environment, particularly within banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions, or other highly regulated organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization\'s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and applications.
- Ensure reliable availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure IT operations comply with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Manage cybersecurity, access controls, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and manage IT risks, vulnerabilities, incidents, and system disruptions.
- Coordinate system upgrades, implementations, maintenance, and technology projects.
- Manage IT vendors, service providers, licenses, and technology contracts.
- Conduct regular system and security reviews and ensure identified issues are addressed.
- Maintain proper IT documentation, asset registers, and system records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required IT documentation and evidence.
- Develop business continuity and IT disaster recovery plans and coordinate periodic testing.
- Lead and supervise IT staff and provide technical guidance where required.
- Prepare regular IT performance, risk, and compliance reports for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience.
- Proven experience working in a regulated environment is a MUST.
- Experience in banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions, or similarly regulated organizations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and data protection.
- Experience supporting regulatory and internal audits.
- Good understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
