Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the HR department in the effective management of employee-related processes and administrative activities.
The successful candidate will provide support across recruitment, employee records, leave administration, staff welfare, performance management, employee relations, and general HR administration. The role requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate screening, shortlisting, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
- Prepare HR letters, contracts, correspondence, reports, and other personnel documents.
- Support leave management, including maintaining leave records and assisting with leave requests and approvals.
- Assist with employee welfare and staff engagement activities.
- Support the implementation of performance management and staff appraisal processes.
- Assist with disciplinary and employee relations matters in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR documentation and processes comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in coordinating employee onboarding and orientation.
- Support the HR department in maintaining proper HR documentation and filing systems.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR department.
- Handle employee information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Prepare HR reports and provide relevant information to management when required.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or a related administrative role.
- Previous experience in a Human Resources environment will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of HR practices, employment procedures, and employee administration.
- Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and people-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
