Job description & requirements
Duties at this level will include: Conducting closed manipulative reduction of fractures and dislocation of joints in Musculo-skeletal system; Providing corrective treatment of orthopaedic and trauma conditions; Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations; Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions devices for patients; Managing congenital talipes equino-varus; Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting in orthopaedic trauma; Documenting orthopaedic and trauma cases; and Assessing and referring patients in Musculo-skeletal system.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in orthopedic Trauma Medicine or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Been registered with the relevant professional body; and
- Proficiency in computer applications.
