JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant UTO / ROC Administrator to support the administration and day-to-day compliance activities of our Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Training Organisation (UTO) and Remote Operations Certificate (ROC) operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support administration and maintenance of UTO and ROC documentation, records and compliance files. ·
  • Assist in maintaining training records, student files, instructor records, examinations and licensing documentation.
  • Support preparation, review and updating of training manuals, procedures, forms and operational documentation.
  • Assist with KCAA submissions, correspondence, inspections, audits and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Maintain registers for remote pilots, instructors, aircraft, equipment, training activities and operational records.
  • Assist in coordinating RPL training programmes, including student enrolment, scheduling, attendance, assessments and completion records.
  • Support UTO/ROC postholders in monitoring compliance with approved procedures and KCAA requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, UAS/Drone Technology, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field. Knowledge of Kenya's UAS regulatory framework and KCAA requirements.
  • Previous experience in UAS operations, aviation administration, training administration or regulatory compliance is an advantage. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and digital record-keeping systems.
  • Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential and regulatory documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge or experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), or Aviation Security (AVSEC).
