Responsibilities
- Taking oral dictation
- Ensuring the security of the office, files, equipment and documents
- Handling Correspondences, mails and messages
- Supervision of office cleanliness
- Operating office equipment
- Processing of word and data from manuscripts
- Maintaining office diary and appointments
- Handling telephone calls and attending to visitors/clients
- Ensuring order, neatness of office and facility
- Managing office records and documents to ensure easy access
- Maintaining confidentiality to ensure the safety of the office information
- Updating records of office documents
- Handling office equipment and ensuring they are properly maintained
Qualifications / Work Experience
- Professional Proficiency in computer applications
- Professional Cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Assistant Office Administrator I or in a comparable position
- Academic Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized Institution
- Academic Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from the KNEC in the following subjects (Typewriting II (minimum 40 w.p.m) /Computerized Document Processing II, Business English II/Communications I, Office Practice II, Secretarial Duties II or Commerce II)
